The marina at Moss Landing doesn't appear to have an official name. It is a publicly accessible floating dock that juts into Elkhorn Slough. Though not a large marina, there is still plenty to explore. The dock is shared with a busy kayaking outfit that creates a decent amount of foot traffic on the dock throughout the day.

Beyond being an excellent dock to look at fouling organisms, the marina provides an outstanding vantage point for viewing other creatures in the area. Seals and sea lions dominate the area. Occasionally sea otters pass by, either alone or playing in small groups. It is worth it to come here for the fouling alone, but everything else makes this locations truly special. Just to the south are floating boat ramps that are also worth a visit.
LOCATION
Come prepared to pay the 10$ cash it will cost you to park anywhere near the dock. There is ample parking that may fill to capacity at the very busiest of times. Head to the north of the main parking area, past the kayaking building, to find the main marina. On the southern side of the parking area, past the restrooms, are the boat ramps.
